I have only just started bringing lunch to work, not because of any reason but because it has become increasingly hard to find good food at decent prices near my place of work. What started out as a bit of a chore has now turned into an enjoyable time.

I even enjoy getting up that little bit earlier to pack my lunchbox for lunch! And I also enjoy thinking up new things I can bring to work in my little lunch boxes.

While I call this site Bento Delights, it isn’t about “bento” in the strict Japanese sense. It is in fact, about the food I take to work which may or may not be a “bento” per se.

Still, I’m learning as I go and if you are new to packing lunch to work, perhaps we could learn a thing or two from each other! My lunch boxes may not always be cute and pretty as most bento are, but I do try to make them as nutritious and nice to look at, as I can.
