My journey into bento lunch boxes

17 Nov 2008This bento lunch had some planning go into it. I prepared some braised soy sauce chicken over the weekend and froze it.
Then, in the morning, I heated it up, cooked some white rice and shaped them into onigiri or rice balls for some visual variety. I particularly enjoyed my lunch that day!

I had a hard roll stuffed with ham and greens. On the side is my favourite Branston Pickles! A pungent sweet-sour pickle relish that brings back memories of England and cheese and pickle sandwiches! Absolutely delicious slathered over my sandwiches.
