I have only just started bringing lunch to work because it has become increasingly hard to find good food at decent prices near my place of work. What started out as a bit of a chore has now turned into an enjoyable time for me.
I even enjoy getting up that little bit earlier to pack my lunchbox for lunch! And I also enjoy thinking up new things I can bring to work in my little lunch boxes.
While I call this site Bento Delights, it isn’t about “bento” in the strict Japanese sense. It is in fact, about the food I take to work which may or may not be a “bento” per se.
Still, I’m learning as I go and if you are new to packing lunch to work, perhaps we could learn a thing or two from each other! My lunch boxes may not be cute and pretty as most bento are, but I do try to make them as nutritious and nice to look at, as I can.
